This initiative aligns with Dubai’s goal to become the world’s smartest city

Dubai’s Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment has announced the use of drone and artificial intelligence technologies in its housing projects.

The move aims to improve innovation and sustainability in the housing sector.

The establishment is working with global companies to ensure drone and AI solutions meet international standards. This initiative aligns with Dubai’s goal to become the world’s smartest city.

Drones to monitor Dubai’s housing projects in tech-forward move

The new technologies will be used to monitor housing projects, maintain assets and properties, and provide AI-integrated services. This is part of the establishment’s digital transformation strategy and supports the UAE’s AI strategy.

“The adoption of drone technology in the establishment’s engineering projects reflects our firm commitment to innovation and leadership in providing distinguished housing services and adopting future-oriented practices within our strategic initiatives. We are confident that this technology will contribute to achieving our strategic objectives, enhancing the efficiency of our operations, and elevating the housing system in the emirate,” Eng. Abdullah Al Shehi, Director of the Engineering Projects Department said.

Drones will monitor construction activities, ensuring compliance with work plans, timelines, and safety standards.

They will also be used for preventive maintenance, detecting issues such as water leaks and insulation faults.

The establishment has trained staff to use drone technologies, analyse data, and extract information to support decision-making.

This initiative supports the Dubai Social Agenda 2033 and the Dubai Urban Plan 2040, aiming to develop the city with the best living experience and housing services while enhancing resource efficiency.
